This guide is intended specifically for Sony camera users to set up a wireless connection to Zno Instant.

What You’ll Need

- Zno Instant already downloaded onto your phone.

Step 1: Start with the Zno Instant mobile app first
- Tap on the event you want to upload to and select “FTP Connection”.
- Then select image file size to upload to the gallery and upload mode (Automatic upload mode or Manual Mode).
- Note the FTP Info as listed in the Zno Instant mobile app.
Step 2: Adjust Camera Settings
- Find the "Image quality" menu and select "JPEG" or include "JPEG" format. Then for "JPEG Quality", select the size you want to upload.The size will affect the efficiency of the transmission.
- Find "Transfer/Remote" menu and the "Ctrl w/ Smartphone" feature is turned "Off".
Step 3: Connect Wifi network
- Go to “Wi-Fi” and select "Access Point Set" and connect to your local wifi network and enter the password to connect.
- Make sure "Priority Connection" is set to "On".
*Wireless FTP Flash supports two network options:
Option 1: WiFi network at the shooting site
Option 2. Create WiFi hotspot (personal hotspot) with your own cell phone: Please create a WiFi hotspot on your cell phone, record the hotspot name and password, and pay attention to turn off the flight mode (some cell phones need to turn off the WiFi function and then turn on the personal hotspot in order to work properly)
Step 4: Enter FTP information
- Return to previous menus to select "Transfer/Remote". Then select "FTP Transfer Func.".
- Go to "Server Setting" and select a server that has not been set up yet.
- “Destination Settings” -“Host Name” , you should enter the IP address listed in the Zno Instant mobile app. For "Port" , you should enter the 4 digit port number.
- "Directory Settings" - "Same File Name", select "Does Not Overwrite".
- "User Info Settings" - enter the name and password as listed in the Zno Instant mobile app.
- After entering all the settings, click "OK" and wait to establish the connection. When you see the "Connected" status, it means a successful connection has been made.
- Remember double check a few settings. Make sure "Auto FTP Transfer" is set to "On". In "RAW+J/H Transfer Target", it is set to "JPEG & HEIF". Also, "FTP Power Save" is "Off".
Step 5: Start taking photos at your event
At this point, your camera is connected wirelessly to the Zno Instant mobile app. Note the two green buttons in the mobile app to show you're connected.
Now, you can start taking photos at your event to automatically upload to the Zno Instant gallery.
