Contract Signing for the Photographer
There are several ways you can go about signing the contract on your end!
- You can sign the contract before it goes to the client
- You can sign a contract that is awaiting a client signature
- You can sign a contract after a client has signed it.
Signing Before the Contract Goes to the Client
You can sign the contract before sending it to the client.
When you are on the page where you (Create your Contract (link to creating a contract article)), you will want to select Actions in the upper right hand side of the page. This is a dropdown menu. Select Add Signature, which is the first option.
A field will come up for you to sign using your mouse or track pad.
Note: If you wish to change how your name or business name appears under your signature, you can see our article on (Adding a Business Signature to Your Profile (link to article on this))
Sign a Contract That is Awaiting a Client Signature
(Clicking on Manager at the left in Workspace.)
You will see the different tabs along the top (Contacts, Payment Booking, Contracts, Templates, and Settings)
Click on Contracts.
From here, you can see the statuses of your current contracts.
Next, select the contract in question from your list with a status of Awaiting Signature. This will take you to the contract’s details, and it is here in the upper right hand corner you can select ‘sign’
A signature window will populate for you to sign.
When you click Accept and Sign, it will update your contract.
Sign a Contract After a Client has signed
When a client receives a contract and you are yet to sign, the status on the contracts page will be listed as “Countersign”, as it is waiting for you to sign.
When you click on the contract in question, you will be lead to the info page for your client, and there will be an option to sign there.
Contract Signing For the Client
Your client will Receive an e-mail or a link, but either will populate into the Contract you created below
They will want to review the terms and when they are ready, they will click Sign Contract. This will give them that little draw space to draw out their signature.
Next, the page will look similar, but Sign Contract has turned into Download Contract. We do recommend your client does this to avoid any confusion down the line!
